The Slash
The Slash is a very creative and 3 dimensional piece. It tells a story however my tale and your interpretation could be miles apart. Basically it is a fantasy about what is going on behind the paper and paint and what might happen when an artist accidentally slashes the surface they are working on. In this case a wild Japanese mythological being tries to crawl through the slash while other bits of gleaming orange spheres begin creeping out from between the paint and the paper. The artist looses control of their brush and the scene goes chaotic. We are currently experiencing a rather chaotic world, where things aren’t quite what they appear, where scary things lurk in shadows waiting for the opportunity to make trouble.
Mixed media of collage, acrylic paint and medium, paint brush.
