My love of paper directs my work and collage appears in every piece. Sometimes the collage is completely covered by paint, or nearly so that only hints of the collage may peek through. But the paper is always there, providing depth or texture, adding color or sheen.
And there are times when the work is only collage - telling a story.
The other through-line in my work is my connection with the natural world. Since most of the work is abstract or abstracted, the nature may not always be obvious in the final product as it too might be entirely papered or painted over. But it is always there in some form.
