Composted of several layers of collage, grease pencil, and various shapes and marks with acrylic paint, this mixed media piece has much texture. Then the final shapes were created by painting over the layers with a neutral color and then some painted foliage, line work and glazing finish the composition. It depicts the making of an Ikebana floral design, a cat watching over the process, while light pours in from a sunny window. Everything is abstracted.
